My grandmother is a huge figure in my family. She is the matriarch, and the world revolves around her... in a good way.

She was the first woman in her town to drive, and she was the first in her family to come to the US, leaving her children behind, where she learned how to speak and write English by reading newspapers and watching the news on tv. After earning enough money, she brought her children over and raised the four of them as a single mother. She is now 89 and going strong.

I pay homage to her in this song.
