I was listening to music on shuffle when I was writing the lyrics, and the Pixies song "Digging for Fire" came on. Mix that with just having listened to Soundgarden's "Hands All Over" and you get this.

Musically, I wanted to do something psychedelic-ish, hence the slide guitar solos and the echos.
