about

The first single and first hit for Titanosaur. The original version of "Escape Velocity" was the first single released in November 2017, and then included on the debut album Eat Me released in May 2018.

Originally recorded for The Raygun Girls, this was the song that made me decide it was time to start a new "band" for my heavier more Punk sound.

I wasn't very happy with the quality of the production and my vocals back then, so I re-recorded it and released it on the Harbinger of Doom compilation.

lyrics

I never thought I would be home again
Power tripping through time again
Trying to find the sun
Orient myself in the universe
Returning back to one
Take a trip round multination
Trying to avoid this mutilation

I’ve reached escape velocity
On my way to the stars
leave behind all of this
I’ve reached escape velocity
Cause there’s nothing left
In the apocalypse

feeling nothing but discrimination
I see the hate in your eyes
Relive the moment of recrimination
and we all get stuck in time
bombs from the east
bombs from the west
what if its all a test
falling too fast from the sky
And the world ends in my eye

I’ve reached escape velocity
On my way to the stars
leave behind all of this
Cause there’s nothing left
In the apocalypse

I won’t move the mountains for you
If you won’t take a step

One day we will all die
That day is soon enough

Bombs from the East
Bombs from the West
What if it's all a test

I’ve reached escape velocity
On my way to the stars
leave behind all of this
Cause there’s nothing left
In the apocalypse
